Re: Processing Fomapan 100 - a bit out of date though
Hi
30 seconds time as stated in the manual is absolutely not enough for tank conditions.
The first time I home processed B&W film was over 30 years ago, same tank by the way. Then the second exposure required a photoflood and the reel in a white bowl filled with water. It was Ilford FP4, not a ...

Just never leave your films for a baggage scanning and probably nothing never will be damaged
I believe regular scanning is safely but everything depends on the control equipment...

Re: Short clip including E64T / V200T / F500T on Vimeo
Looks fine
The 500T grain is more noticeable here just because it's a negative.
By the way, how exactly was it exposed?
Best regards

Re: What will be the result for 1986 batch of Kodachrome 8mm?
It surely will be slightly fogged for 20+ years and
1. Anyway will never have true Kodachrome colors...
2. Will be only slightly pink if it really was frozen
3. Will be totally dead and washed out (as you said) only if it was never frozen or refrigerated. Otherwise, you can get something usable from ...

Re: A Taste Of V2 200T, S8, Berlin, Potsdam 2008
Hi, thanks for your answer
I also worked on my small documentary with negative stocks this summer. And also with the 1014XL-S. It makes just great images. Haven't tried the Fuji 500T but the E64T surely looks like Kodak's V2 500T with its grain...

I like how it looks. V2 200T is great. Where it was transferred?

Re: New testpictures: Canon 1014 and E64T
Hello, Fred
How do you think, is this 1014E better than the 1014 XL-S?
I have some technical clue about the flickering on XLS series. I'm not so sure to tell about it here but it's not the AE.
Thanks for posting. Fantastic images.

Re: Does Freezer Storage Cause Cartridge Problems?
Old Uncle Barry, The thing we talking about here isn't the same cause that you said. You said about historic footage filmed under extremely cold conditions. It isn't common situation. Storage sealed film in cold and filming in cold are completely different things.

Just a bit of useless info........

When the film was processed, those white scratches you describe, are exactly the same as you have.Reason:flying ...

Re: Does Freezer Storage Cause Cartridge Problems?
I wait 24 hours for them to thaw before shooting. Could freezing cause the base to slightly crack or brittleness if too cold?
No, proper freezing couldn't. If your freezer is just a freezer and works OK it can't be too cold :). You know there are many plastic parts inside the cartridge and film ...

Re: Camera That Properly Meters 500ASA?
There is no 500T cartridge notch in Super-8 standards. And no correctly 500T notched cartridges. That's it. I think you never need precise 500T metering
