Strange cinecam

Has anyone any info on a "Starmax Reflex Zoom"cinecam? A friend rang me today and asked if I could find what it's worth. As I'd never heard of it I thought someone out there might cast some light on it! Apparently it has an F1.8 40mm lens I'll get more details in a few days when I see it in the ...

I have a Hanimex E400 dual editor. The bulb packed up so I replaced with the required 6v 10w one.Now Ican only get a faint pic outline which is useless for editing. Is there a special type of reflective unit needed? Hanimex here ( West Australia) don't seem to know too much about 8mm!
Cheers ...

S8 frame rates

Please forgive this question but I am having a "senior's moment" and I can't remember around 30 years ago when carting my Canon 814 s8 around what speed I filmed at. It

must have been 24fps!! Or was it????
Cheers Geronimouse!

1/60th is there -- you just have to turn off electronic SteadyShot. When SteadyShot is enabled the default shutter speed is 1/100 (presumably to give the camera enough processing time to shift the image around). If you turn SteadyShot off, it will default back to 1/60th.

Hi "Guest" thank you ...
