Sorry if reposting, reading in a hurry, but the larger the gauge, the bigger the latitude, so apart from fast lenses/less of a grain problem, 35 will beat 16 just out of sheer size, as will 16 beat s8.

I totally agree with Jumar. Video your lighting set-ups, do as many different combinations as you can, concentrate on the tests; but if no big hassle, it would be cool to have at least one short, especially if it included all the production info.

Good luck, hop you´ll do it!

quote from the article booster linked us up to:

"especially when progressive-scan, 1080-line, high-def cameras become available in mid-1999. "

So yes, mathias, HD is looking a lot better now. I worked on a commercial some weeks a go, shot on HD. Haven´t been able to see the final results yet ...

hey, I wish every ebayseller did it your way. I almost wanna buy that camera, even though I have no money and no need for it (being the happy owner of an x-sync´d 4008 zmII :) bought on ebay). Very sympathetic indeed.

ok, so I read an interview with the director of "Girl Fight", and on the film vs. video issue she said she had just learned of alpha (film projection) and beta (tv/digital projection) lightwaves, the former being processed by the active part of your brain, the latter the passive... I find it very ...

Interesting to read what the state of affairs seems to be in USA. It seems like the concept of cinema-schools are a bit different. In my part of Europe, that is, Scandinavia, studying at university level usually means one of two things; a theoretical course, where you might or might not get/choose ...

making your film look old

ok, take a break from the usual fuzz with getting the best out of s8;

Now, anybody got any experience with making your feel look bad? That is, aged, old worn, dirty, battered, moldy, etc.? And I know about digital, but this concerns realthing, handmade style.

Anyone to confess ou there?

good idea with frame-by-frame, makes it possible to do exact exposure-corrections to the edit. This being a *one-minute shot, reversed*, two-minute film, that´s not really necessary for now, but I think I´ll try that later for some other stuff.

Thanks for the advice!
