The only changes you will see in the viewfinder is on the aperture scale that displays the f. stop value. The aperture iris is behind the prism that diverts light to the viewfinder system, so you will not notice the viewfinder image darkening as the aperture closes. As for your minolta meter, well ...

Hi.

Here is a pdf download for the manual that may help if you don't have a copy

http://www.super8.no/Manuals/Nizo_6080_6056_User%20manual_English.pdf

The first thing I can suggest is with no film in the camera, set everything to it's default setting (red dots on the camera) and see if everything ...

I'm glad to see others are enjoying this work. I remember back in the early nineties being fresh out of college, unemployed and watching Elliotts series of 6 programmes 'Road Dreams' and loving the look of the footage. I studied photography at college and was already shooting super8, but I am ...

Hi Ronnyt.

I have a spare Nizo battery box and it's yours if you want it. The bad news is that it's not in great shape. There is some corrosion on the terminals so it will need a bit of a clean and a little TLC. I've just tested it and it did run the camera for a while then stopped but started ...

Wow, I'm away for a day and come back to a ton of posts. Things seemed to get a little heated there in the middle, but thanks to all who have taken the time to share their thoughts. BK, great link for me to have a look through thanks. At least now I know it is possible even if the results are a tad ...

Janne thanks.

Ade, yes I guess I should have given you a little more information. I suppose I was fishing to see if diy transfer of neg film was even plausible and if anybody had had any success. Before my initial post I did have a good search through the forum and found related topics, but nothing ...

diy telecine 16mm colour neg???

Hi, i have recently been given a few 400 foot rolls of kodak 16mm colour negative film. It is all really old stock, (potentially mid 80s) but has been fridge stored. With the age of this film the quality is going to be dubious at best, so I don't want to spend a fortune on process and transfer. I ...

some beautiful footage

I thought some of you might appreciate this link to a site with some really nice super8 footage and the promise of much more to come. Some folks here in the U.K. will perhaps remember a channel 4 series from many years ago called Road Dreams. It was essentially a super8 diary filmed by a chap called ...

Benjamin, thanks for that link. Very interesting. I too have another camera that I use, but sometimes I like to use the 6080. I can still shoot in auto mode, it's just bugging me that I know there is a problem with the camera. Still it's good to know of a place I can try if I do decide to try and ...

Thanks Benjamin. Sorry to hear that you have the same problem, but encoraging that you have been able to find a sort of work-around. I will have a go. As for removing the cover, well I gave it a go but saw nothing in there that I fancied tinkering with, so the cover went on again very quickly ...

Hello, thanks for your reply. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "manual + fade", but I'm not using any of the fades or dissolve settings. The aperture opens up without the camera running. Using the "- man +" dial to set the aperture to fully closed, it slowly opens up again with or without the ...

Nizo 6080 problem

Hi, great forum, glad I have found you all.
I have a problem with my 6080 and would appreciate any suggestions or input. The problem occurs when I set the aperture manually. As soon as I set the desired aperture value and release the dial, the aperture very slowly opens all the way up again. By ...
