another flare fan here - my profile pic is a still with some nice flare from a nizo pro (but it's very small!)
It's also worth bearing in mind the temperature of the light when shooting for flares. Personally I love the golden flares you get from an evening sun low on the horizon, while flares from ...

'I for India' - feature doc with extensive use of super 8
I saw 'I for India' in London recently. It's a feature length documentary about a family moving from India to the UK in the 1970's. The father bought 2 super 8 cameras, and 2 reel to reel recorders, sending one set to his family in India and keeping the other set to record his life in the UK. The 2 ...

hmm - upon further checking I see that the camera works fine in the upright position when the grip is swung back. It's nothing to do with it working in single frame mode, I simply had the grip swung back when I was doing some timelapse at the weekend. I suspect the wiring in the hinge, but I can't ...

Nizo Professional fault - any ideas?
My Nizo Pro has developed a strange fault: it will only run lying on it's side (either side) and stops running when moved to the upright position. Single frame/timelapse seems to work fine in the upright position. I'm no expert on the internal workings of these cameras - has anyone come across this ...

Re: Terrence Mallick's "The New World"
The photography was beautiful and the use of existing light gave it a great and natural energy -- apart from Barry Lyndon anyone know of any other film that was shot on just exiting light?

Canon Interval Timer E
I just got hold of a Canon Interval Timer for my 1014 AZ.
Has anyone got any advice for using it? The numbers on the timer obviously don't correspond to the intervals, which seem to increase parabolically.
