stuff on 85b filter?

Hey guys, I just got a new (unused, the box looks old) Tiffen 85b filter...But its got a bunch of weird stuff on it? looks like a bunch of cracks in the coating or something (does this filter have a coating?)...so is this a problem or just normal for an 85b filter?

The DVD. http://www.cleancutfilms.ca/ How did you master it? Did you do it yourself or did somebody compress it for you? Workflow comes up on this forum all the time. Many of us are still trying to dial-in the best workflow for Super 8.

Did you go from DigiBeta to DVD or did you go from DV ...

aahhh well I did get some pretty unstable stuff back. It was kind of weird...some rolls were perfect and others were totally unstable.

Eric, I remember that stuff! That actually did look unreal..I have still yet to see super8 look like that...That was part of the reason i decided to use the format ...

Thanks a bunch guys...I really appreciate the kind words!

Tam,
That reciprocity effect that they can dial in really cleans up the grain and makes the movement flowy huh?

My god that is the best effect ever invented! I only wish that you guys did that to all my footage...is there any way to ...

Timelapses + some B-roll footage

Hey everybody...one of my first posts here...Just threw together a short vid of some timelapse footage and bike racing that never made it into my movie.

Movie is 2:20 long, 22 mb file size (sorry I suck at compression)

ah yes, the DIY was actually a local transfer i payed for. we had some "miscommunication" where he made it fairly clear he was using professional equipment. I thought the rates were too good to be true

By full frame do you mean 720x480?

Slow motion projection?

Hi all, tried to search but couldn't find anything. I'm wanting to project film shot at 40 fps. Can I project at 24 fps and achieve the ame slow motion effect? What about time lapses shot at ten frames a minute?

Well for the price of super 8, i think I'm just going to start shooting 16mm. The buy it now price for the auction is gone, so I guess it'll go for what it goes for.

The thing I really loved about my Bauer was the endless options for timelapses. Anyone know of a good 16mm camera for timelapses?
