Thanks for the tips so far.
I shoot skate boarding footages on super 8 for that nice raw look. So I just transfer with a projector and a single CCD came. I like the flicker and roughness from this process.

Those are not Super8 for sure
Definitely not super8 cameras.
I don't mean to be negative or a spoiler, but I think that a Super 8 camera would better serve you in your entry into film. It's readily available and the camera operation is fool proof. Film handling and loading is also a peice of cake.

Creating slow motion in Final Cut Pro with Super8 18fps
Has anyone in here created slow motion footage in Final Cut Pro (or any other NLE software) from super8 footage shot originally at 18fps?
I just want decent quality and am not expecting to get smooth 54fps looking stuff.

Only you can decide for yourself.
Well this post has gotten out of controal man.
But this is what happens when one makes a personal matter public.
In the end, you have to decide for yourself brother.
Talk it over with yourself and no one else. Then make your decision.

Get a cheap super 8 to test out the look
I am not familar with the Keystone in question, but if it is what the other posters say it is then I would pass on it.
I would get a nice cheap super 8 camera and shoot black and white film at 18fps for that vintage monochromatic choppy motion look.
I just picked a nice Minolta XL-400 for just $15 ...

Post the Ebay link of those cameras
Post the ebay link to the cameras you bought. That way, readers can offer some direct answers to questions about these cameras.

Wait til the very end to bid
My strategy is to wait til the absolute last moment to place a bid. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
But that is assuming that my schedule permits me to sit in front of that computer at that very moment.

Give Mike at American Hero a call...
Mike over at American Hero here in L.A. is a good source for Beaulieu experience. I saw about six 4008 for sale there and some other models too.
I was thinking about getting and he gave me some good advice about their quirks regarding power.

Yashica 50xl - Anyone have any experience with this camera?
I just picked up a Yashica 50xl and was wondering if anyone in here also shoots with this camera.
Any bit of shared advice would be appreciated. There is very little web info on this camera.
Here are some pics of it I found on the web:
