I get the foma b/w super8 in reels of 10meters because i have a Quarz double super8 russian mechanical camera, but you can always buy the 30m reels and cut it in four and reload it in the reloadable cartdriges from svema, Mr. Olexandr Kalynychenko sells them about 10€ each. The cheapest ...

The double super8
You can always shoot with the Foma films as well, but of course only in b/w. Personaly i prefer b/w film, as a matter of fact all my films are in b/w kodak and foma super8. But for the people who films in colour i can't give any ideas.

Canon 814 my personal favourite
Well, i'm a little late, but i can also say that the Canon 814 is the best choice, i own one myself and i had a Nizo in the past, and i can say that the Canon is much more efficient and cheaper.

Yes, i also believe that the pressure plate must help. But honestly, the only way i found to get better results (and let's say semi-professional results) is to start using double super8 film on a double super8 camera specialy a electric one that can take 30m reels, like an elmo C-300 or a Canon or ...
