Steve,

loved the photos of your camera AND the movie was great (is that a Leica IIIf?)!

Your B&H Filmo camera looks really nice and as I said I loved the look of the film. What type of film did you use and what version of the Filmo is that? DE?

The look of the film rivals what I have seen from ...

Scanning 8mm film

I have an idea about scanning developed 8mm film and use them a 'still photos' - a sequence of them. Not having any developed 8mm film around (I'm thinking I'm weeks away from that) I would be very interested in learning if anyone here has done anything to that effect?

List of available D Mount lenses?

Does anyone know if there is a list of all available D Mount lenses (that would fit regular/double 8mm Bolex cameras) - and/or some place that 'rates' these lenses?

Thanks for the replies.
I will have a look for that book. Seems interesting.
Also thanks for the link to how to perform the camera lubrication.
I'll see if it's something I feel comfortable doing on my own or if it's better to have it sent off.

First post..and a Bolex 8mm question...

Hi,
just joined and got some questions that I'm hoping will 'help me started'.

I bought my first 8mm camera just two days ago - a Bolex D8La with three lenses - all in amazing condition.

I haven't had ANY experience with film cameras (but love film in still photography) and am really excited about ...
