If you'd happen to move to Helsinki then I'd be happy to show you around the city. I'm spending my vacation downtown and I've got a lots of time on my hands.

Björn modified our R-16 viewfinder with 16:9 markings for 180 dollars. It was a part of a bigger overhaul job so it might be more expensive otherwise.

Basically it's just two marker lines over the groundglass. Works well.

Cheers,
Mikael

I enjoyed it. The actors performed really well, and I have this tendency to like long, continuous shots.

A few minor questions though. The framing was quite tight, I can see a point where the two persons faces would've been very small in comparison if they're feet would've been visible. Still I'd ...

Beaulieu R-16 lens problems

Hello.

I know this ain't strictly Super 8 related, but please bear with me. I've been looking for answers on the net for some time by now, without much success.

Björn Andersson just sent me back my new R-16 PZ all oiled and serviced, the fact that he sent me the lens and the body separately ...

Still photography brought me into the motion picture world as well, so it seems to be quite common.

At the moment I'm using a Rolleiflex 2.8C for medium format stuff and a Contax IIIa for 35mm pictures. Both are great cameras and I'm really enjoying the quality of the pictures.

While working I'm ...

I just finished reading his book, and I encourage you all to do so as well. It was very inspiring and interesting.

Since I live quite close to Sweden, I even nurtured the childish idea of meeting the man some day.

Oh hell, I must be tired. This thread post was supposed to be an reply to the light kit questionnaire posted earlier.

If I just find out how to delete this post then I'll fix this.

Sorry.

Red Italians.

A good solution could be the Ianiro Lilliput set. You can attach 650W fixtures and they are fairly light and compact.

Yep, the 2008 is a lot different from the one you asked for. But here's still one example of how a Ewa mattebox can be mounted on a Beaulieu.
This Ewa was made for 35mm still cameras, it differs a bit from the SK-8 version ...

Jukka, I don't know if it's the forums slow PM system, but I haven't got the link yet, and I'd be very interested to see what it looks like.

Our project is still waiting to get the second part of the film back from Andec. I'm burning of anticipation.

Holy cow. I'm no expert, but that looks very good. How much does that service cost? I tried looking it up without really getting any smarter.

Thanks Evan. We really put some effort on the choice of locations, and it's good to hear that it pays off.

The film is more or less a homage to old monster movies from the 50´s(usually with a swamp theme). It's conciously clumsy and maybe a bit naive. The script includes a young couple, a dark ...
