A super 8 society is a great idea. Count me in. I'll be happy to provide a link on my website once there is a site to link to. I would also be willing to offer a society member discount.

There is not really anything special about the the original key. A old credit card cut to fit will work fine. If yot want an original one, I may have an xtra.

Many batteries for RC cars are 7.2 volt. Not a bad option for the Beaulieu. I used an RC battery on my Beaulieu R16 with great results.

Great looking footage. The tobin unit seems to yield nice results. Fill us in on the details. What camera/lens and what stock(s) did you use.

I saw one of these twice in a pawn shop in toronto. As this one is from ontario, it could be the one. The guy wanted $700.00us. Regrets, should have bought it.

I agree, the D10 and D12 are great. Very under rated and valued. The D12 is right up there with the canon 1014 and a bit below the nikon R10. People tend to shy away from the minoltas. I can not figure out why.

I thought it was just me. I stopped in a family owned camera shop recently looking for a super 8 take up reel for my goko tc-20. Me: Do you have any super 8 takeup reels lying around? Nikon 8x lens, how to remove it?
I have a Nikon 8x that has a wobbly lens. It seem to be coming loose from the mounting area. I've decided to completely strip the camera down to it's parts. Following the instuctions on the super8wiki I now have the camera in two parts. Pretty simple so far. The rear portion contains the movement ...
