K25 was an exceptionally sharp film. I remember seeing my fathers K25 Standard 8 films and they seemed sharper than his later K40 Super 8 films. He used good cameras for both formats.
Cineandy, did you also use K40 in your 16mm camera ...

Re: Where can you buy positive 16mm color film?
Silverdream, I've used miles of kodachrome film, mainly 16mm k25, my subject matter at one time was transport, trains, planes (concorde) and even the old London buses before they were phased out. Thus a lot of footage was at a distance, 100d simply had a lack of resolving power on a distance object ...

Re: Where can you buy positive 16mm color film?
ektachrome100d sharp? really, bloody awful stock, soft, dire colours, poor skin tone, 64t and the old e160 was better than 100d. If Kodak ever release 100d just hope its better than the previous offing. Kahl reversal stock ut18 is my choice over anything given kodachrome is a distant memory

Re: RIP Gottfried Klose (GK Film) passed away
I believe Alfred Kahl may have also passed away. Can anyone verify the death of Alfred Kahl. I understand ADOX got the perforators from Kahl. J.S.
does this mean no more kahl film stock? For retro looking images kahl 50asa 8mm reversal is great stuff, and no blown out highlights like kodaks 100d ...

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!
well I signed up for a colour reversal, not a b/w film, we have orwo in 8mm, so this p30 is just a smokescreen for failing to deliver an e6 emulsion. Not Happy!

''Kodak no longer has a regular-8 perforator of any kind, according to my contact there. We talked about it maybe 6 months ago. I believe they scrapped them when they closed the Windsor, CO facility. I tried to get them to buy Wittner's Buko perforator, but they had no interest''

Kodak 100d, imo only looked ok on dull days, all other times, utter rubbish, skin colours were just terrible.

[quote], they are up against the benchmark of Ektachrome 100D.
Up against a benchmark of Kodak 100d, pretty low standard then, 100d was the worst stock I've ever exposed in a super 8, 8mm and 16mm camera, un natural colours, blown out highlights and unsharp images, a dreadfully over rated stock ...

Hi, who perfed the film in the end wittner? How does one go about purchasing the stock from you? And any plans to perf 50D in 100ft DS8 loads?

Re: New Kodak Super 8 Camera Preview
just wondering, is this Kodak's clever way of axing the format? Invest in a camera, this fails to boost super 8 film stock sales, thus green light for Kodak to axe super 8? Imo, a reversal film would drive up the super 8 sales an awful lot more than a new camera!

Re: 5 Years Since End of Kodachrome Processing
its hard to get any motivation these days, once you spent 26 years shooting k25/k40 any modern stock is a poor substitute, personally I hated 100d, soft, tended to blow out highlights, jammed in the camera, too over rated imo. Where have those 5 years gone? Seems like yesterday I fedex off the last ...

Re: Regular 8 Vision 3 50D and 250D
Who will be perfing the film? I once ran some 8mm wittner 50d (velvia) through the camera and the QC of the perf was dire.
So I would purchase stock, only if Kodak carry out the perfing.
