1, was the "focus gap" thing as the new fim is thicker, but was that for projection or filming? Also with the thicker film we only get 2min and 40 secs. I asume that is at 18 fps and not 24.?

2, with the markings on the cartridge for 25, 50 ...

Single 8 and Velvia 50

Regarding the single 8 version of this film, the Velvia 50D. What single 8 cartridges to they use for this 50 asa film, the 25 or 200 asa notched ones? Will my ZC1000 know this is a 50 asa speed film? What did you guys do who tried it, just under expose or use the variable shutter ?

I think other films are already available for single 8 like the velvia 50. Also, I remember retro in Japan saying to me in an email a few months ago that even if Fuji stopped, they had plans to produce carts with other film in them.

I will be carefull of RX lenses less then 50mm on the Fujica as Lunar07 warns. Is the 50mm "on the limit" so it might work if not wide open? (I have a nice 50mm Schiender RX )

As an aside, I have used a 12mm non RX on the bolexRX and not had focus problems due, I think, to the large depth of ...

Bolex lenses on a Fujica ZC1000

Has anyone used Bolex Prime lenses on a Fujica ZC1000 ? If so were they the RX or normal ones?

I trecked to the Everest base camp, bloody cold, hard to walk, hard to breath sometimes. I'd take my Bauer Mini, keep it in my pocket and never take my gloves off to have to focus. I had it with me in the Swiss alps skiing last year, it was cold and never failed. Film looked great.

No, not really, but you will get (sometimes) a picture improvement.
Do you mean a picture improvement over the single 8 with the pressure plate ?

Does it compare to the pressure plate in a single 8 camera ?
I get crisper images when I use a Beaulieu which I think is because of the shutter system they use (not sure) I was thinking that this plate may have the same effect. ??
