Hello: I would go with the Panasonic DVX 100. I own one my self and you could not do better in trying to achieve the film look - other than shooting film. But wait untill the new DVX 100 A is released early next year - in the USA that is. Try posting here:

Hello:
I just had transfered (Moviestuff) to minidv reg 8 film that was shot on Kodachrome 40 years ago. The colors were great and did not look faded. It looked wonderfull projected and on video! In the same project I had 3/4 (u-matic) tape and older oxide beta tape that was shot in the 1970's and ...

Well I think I answered my own question. I found a replacement battery here:
http://www.photobattery.com/
The Bolex S1 takes 2 A1PX 1.5v Alkaline batteries. Can be used as replacement for E1N, PX1, RM1, V1PX. I thought I'd post the info in case somebody does a search for this same info one day.

Bolex S1 (PX 1 Battery?)
Hello; I just bought a Bolex S1 regular 8 camera which is great shape, but I need a battery to use the auto light meter. I saw a listing on the web that says the S1 uses a PX1 battery.
I just wanted to see if anyone has this camera and has used the PX 1 battery with a Bolex S1. Did it give you ...

Hello Maurizio: Thanks for the info. They really do look the same, but I want to be sure. I am going to make some measurements and send them to the guy, but it's seems that it's the very same body from just looking at pictures of the Nizo 4080 & 6080. The camera is just too noisy to get good audio ...

Dimensions Of The Nizo 6080 & 4080 Cameras
Hello:
Does anybody know if the dimensions of the Nizo 6080 & 4080 are the same? I want to order a barney for a Nizo 4080 and there is one for a Nizo 6080. As far as I can see from pictures of the Nizo 6080 it's exactly the same. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello: I am new here so I don't recall the debate you speak of but, I want to shoot double system using a Mini Disk recorder. The idea is that the Mini Disk does not suffer from the problems tape would have; tape streching or slipping and I think a mini disk just shuts off (not slows down) when the ...

Blimp For Nizo 801
Hello: Does anybody have an idea about where to buy or how to make a blimp for a Nizo 801 macro camera? I want to shoot double system sound (mini disk) and I fear that this camera is pretty noisy. Anybody out there using this camera to shoot double system sound?
Thanks
