Re: Good to be back!
I have not found anything on FaceBook to equal this forum. I find Facebook works well for other interests. Note 'works' not better!

Re: Home Scanners - Braun NovoScan
Sorry about delay but I really ought to check more often.
Basically my editing is tidying up, adding titles and music. Music is off three copyright free CDs I acquired at the end of the last century. I think the first came with a video magazine and I bought the rest. BVG who seem to exist still but ...

Home Scanners - Braun NovoScan
As covid took a hold last year i treated myself to a Braun NovoScan super8 - Normal 8 Scanner. It is also sold under a few other names but this was the one available in the UK from Firstcall Photorgraphic in the UK.

Re: Long term storage of processed film
Kodachrome lasts over 50 years without much colour loss. Cannnot say the same for Ilfochrome and Agfachrome or Ferrania.

Selling Up on eBay
As I seem to tbe the first person to use the special forum for this activity I thought I would repeat it here:
At that time of life when reading the Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning by Margareta Magnusson makes sense. So I am now working on my cine 'stuff' and the first lot is now on eBay ...

Re: Ilford Colorcine 8mm film
For home movies the Ilfordcine was more than adequate, especially the 4 for 3 price and returned spliced onto a 200' reel. The films had to be placed in the box in a certain order to make sure they came back in sequence. Usually got it wrong. I seem to remember my Dad got a couple quite cheaply as ...

Re: Projector Belts
Tried making my own belts, but it was easier, and cheaper to get some off ebay. Basically rubber ring belts rather than the original vee belts, but they have worked on both the 607s I have. Pretty difficult to get them on. Not a lot of room.

Re: Projector Belts
Tried eBay and found a few people offering the belts, Eumig 600 series and the old P8 I have too. So I thought i would give them a try. Basically rubber rings of the right size. Fitting on the P* is a doddle. Cannot say the same for the 607s, what a faff. Anyhow removing the lamp housing makes it ...

Re: Projector Belts
Thanks for the link. The picture of the simple spring loaded alignment tool is just what I need. I reckon I could easily make one. It is pretty obvious how it works.

Projector Belts
I thought it was about time that I sorted out my 8mm gear and films. Found a few surprising items including unused Kodachrome satandard and super 8. I thought I had managed to use it all up in the final days of Kodachrome, evidently not.

Caffenol Film reversal (coffee based developer!)

FOMA seem to have an on line shop for all their products. I do not know what delivery costs are but the prices, in Euros look good.

Re: Conversion negative in positive
I think all video editing software packages have invert as an option. Even those that do not cost anything. For video it creates a negative look but certainly works the other way.
