Foma in America

Hi, I have a Quarz-zoom ds8-3 camera that I acquired a few months ago in Prague. This camera only accepts spools, not cartridges. I was, however, unable to bring any film back with me. Is there any way I can acquire and develop film in America for it? I would REALLY appreciate any response, because ...

Cool. I looked into incident light meters here, but they seem to run at about 100 dollars. Is that about what they normally cost in America?

Fantastic! So does this mean I set my SLR's shutter speed to, say, 1/30, and that would roughly tell me the aperture for filming at 18fps?

Thanks.

Using an SLR as a light meter for Quarz-Zoom DS8-3

Hey, everyone. I have a Quarz-Zoom DS8-3. Its solar light meter is, naturally, broken. In a previous post on here, someone recommended I use a camera as a light meter. Is there any way I can set the shutter speed on my SLR to roughly approximate that of my 8mm?

Thanks,

Tom

Great, glad to hear it! It only cost like 10 dollars, so I felt like I had to get it.

Do you think you could tell me how to load the film? I was expecting the film to come in a cartridge, but it's a spool. As such, I've really no idea how to do it.

Thanks for the site, too!

quarz-zoom ds8-3 help

Hi, I'm currently living in Prague, and I unexpectedly came across a quarz-zoom ds8-3 in a camera shop. I don't know a thing about how it works or anything like that. I saw that filmbuff already responded to a similar question, but I still have a couple questions not already answered in that post ...
