Look, the bottom the line is, for Pro8mm to use an "amateur" contest to shamelessly promote their products and services is downright deploreable. dishonorable & despicable. If you know anything about the way they operate, you'll see this for what it really is, and that is nothing more than another ...

Yale Processing
** and you're sure it's not a problem with the camera, correct?
Definitely not the camera. No way. A camera scratch stays steady on the frame and does not weave or waver. These blue scratches dance around on the frame a little. I.E., a sure sign that it is not a camera scratch and instead comes ...

Yale Lab Processing Woes!
Well, Yale's done it again. I've just got back my lastest batch of super 8 color neg from Yale Film & Video (North Hollywood, CA) and they've got those familiar blue scratches/streaks again dancing around the middle of my frame. Dammit! This is the 3rd time it's happened to my film after getting it ...

Yes indeed, awesome vintage footage that Mr. Copeland has compiled of the formative years of the Police! I was able to get a sneak peak glimpse of some of the rough cuts of his docu from the editor who cut his movie, Brit Marling of Abandon in L.A. They did a great job on it, and the sound quality ...

The Rank they use is newer - a Digi 4 with from the mid to late 90's with many upgrades. They also have a newer, more pricey model 888 Da Vinci with DUI and multiple power windows and frame store. Plus, they have the newly built V3 gate with better optics.

Mattias my man,
A) I may have been exagerating and overstating my case when I said that "half the rolls I shot were short". That's just an American custom to engage in what's called hyperbole.
However, if Pro8mm was using 1000 foot factory sealed cans of 35mm film to slit, perforate and load into ...

Pro8mm spells trouble
Drkangl,
I know where your comin' from. Pro8mm spells trouble!
I had heard the rumors that they reformatted 35mm film to super 8 using old recanned film stocks. But I never really gave it much thought until I tried some of their Pro8mm color negative stocks for myself.
