Canon 310xl & 514xl addition to Super8 repair website

Hello,

While nothing is more exciting than the new Kodak camera, I just wanted to put it out there that K.Billingsley has contributed some great pictures and valued instructions on lens cleaning the Canon 310xl and 514xl to my site: http://canon-s8-repair.yolasite.com/

I am told that there are ...

Re: Super8 in Australia

Hello,

Thanks for the heads up. I recently moved to Ararat and bought a Russian 16mm camera...

I cannot believe I have missed this organisation for so long, I have some catching up to do!

Also I might try and attend a couple of the screenings, I will have to see.

The Neglab press release is out ...

Re: Super8 in Australia

G'day!

You should! more and more Aussies are coming home, something about English weather and warm beer...

Am also selling my cameras, not all, just enough to help support my new habit...Russian clock work cameras, I drop things alot so it made sense at the time...

Cheers, Gareth

Super8 in Australia

I have been busy keeping my site up to date:

http://www.mishkin.yolasite.com/

There have been alot of positive changes in Aussie recently, a lab re-opening, local labs offering new stock at great prices, heaps of cameras on sale on flea bay, and a fantastic local initiative called "Pozible" great ...

Att: Australian film shooters

Hello all,

For the Christmas season and until early February I have drastically reduced camera rental fees, for my Canon 814 Electronic, 1014, and my trusty 1218, just $15 per day!

Plus my other cameras, some even rent free!

I figured the best way to ...

Aussie Super8 rental

Hello all,

Although I have been renting cameras for a wee while now, I decided to reduce the bond amounts I was charging as I think that may be the cause of a slow down in rentals over the past year. My Canon 1014's were $250 bond, now $100. I hope it will move things along a little.

Re: kodak bankrupt

I believe either two things will occur with Kodak being bankrupt.

1- Smaller companies that service the Super8 community will step in to fill the void. Having the largest film maker as your competitor makes it difficult to compete with their prices, with the major player gone, this will mean there ...

Super8 camera rental -Melbourne

I bought some Canon 1014Es recently to add to my rental camera listing, shot some film through them, as well as all the other cameras, to test function and exposure, and the film came back with very nice results across the range!

People should not underestimate the great shots the old Sankyo ...

Canon 1014 scraping off emulsion

Hello,

I am running a few tests on a Canon 1014 I recently bought, and although everything on the camera seems to be working well, after shooting for around 10 seconds I remove the cartridge, 100D, and discover a little bit of emulsion "fluff" between the film and the cartridge "pressure" area.

I ...

Re: Effective home made blimp for camera?

G'day,

Awhile back I looked at camera blimps and designs, and I thought they were way too expensive. I built two blimps for my cameras that were around 90% effective, of course this depends entirely on the microphone, environment etc.
I have some pics online at:

Re: stills from diff stocks

Thanks for the responses so far, all though I feel bad saying this, but "videofred's" stills are too good! I was after some images that typify particular stocks. For my exercise I want grain, etc. Although I will use some of videofred's images as examples, correctly referenced of course, of "post ...
