I picked up 200T kodak super-8... I don't see how this means that kodak is abandoning super-8???

Though I dislike the notion of phasing out stocks, Kodak does this all the time. Like with the great EXR stock '98. But then they turn around and put out '18 (many years later).

The reality is, most ...

Kodak pre-paid processing mailers?

Hi, does anyone know if Kodak has stopped selling processing mailers for Kodachrome in the US? They seem to be unavailable from all the big outlets.

Any suggestions ...

I disagree, the new Vision 2 stock has much more pleasing color pallete akin to the EXR stocks of the pre-90's. I'd say if you want a 90's look, go with the candy colors of something like the '74 (200T original Vision) or the '20 640T Primetime which was really distinctive as a 90's popping-colors ...

Does anyone own a Bolex 550 (or better) and a Nizo/Beaulieu for comparison? I wanted to know how they compare, in terms of image quality.

Thanks for all the information and discussion.

As a follow-up, Pro8mm went and did a free retransfer and the footage looks really fantastic. The color shifts and "grain" were just the work of colorist going off the camera notes and correcting for shot that were intended to dark or blue. Meaning ...

So what telecine place is the most commonly used for S8mm in the US?

From all indications it would be Pro8mm, but I had this problem where the colors would shift mid-shot. When I suggested this was a timing error they blamed my camera. I then asked how a S8 camera would be able to control color ...
