Alkaline are bad, they don't have a flat voltage curve, and you won't realize that the your exposures are incorrect, beside the compensation. I don't know if the mercury cells are still available from china, but deal with bad karma, because mercury is very bad for the environment.[/quote]

I had both nizos, yes, the zinc/air do work but a tendency do die very quickly. and for the 1.5v you need to compensate your exposure, which sucks. I order some mercury cells once from hong kong. I understand these arguments exist in previous threads. Its a personal preference, I myself rather not ...

801 is basically obsolete because the light meter mercury battery was banned. You can find batteries but its difficult. The Professional does not have this problem.

More than that in many cases. But why is that ridiculous? Any idea what I pay for developing and printing a roll of medium format still film? But it's not a deterrent, as there's no digital equivalent, period.

Ok, expensive is a better word.

By "Out Tech" I mean digital video just over reaches ...

To get the film look, use film...

Mini DV in a cassette is sterile, lacks feelings compared to film on a reel, which is gross, and you can see and touch... compare dust and hairs to drop outs!

Kodak is kill Kodachrome because it don't what you sending you film to them anymore. It is very clear they want out of the K40 processing business. The process was always complex and costly. As long as Kodachrome is produced they have to provide developing service because K40 dev is rare. E6 films ...
