For some reason I feel like there’s something inherently supernatural about film, and I’m wondering if anyone has any footage of “ghost” or strange phenomenon caught on film?

And if so do you have a link? Or description of the footage?

Are you sure its not 1231? There is no data sheet for 7232. If it is 1232, then it is Super-XX on a nitrate base not an acetate base and the film needs to be handled carefully as over time it can degrade and spontaneously catch fire. It could also be 7222 the venerable XX which has been around ...

So I have several 50ft reels of Kodaks 7232 film, which expired sometime around 1952/1953... I shot some last night on my Bolex. I had the fstop set for compete darkness even though my room was fairly bright. Developed it as a negative in d-19 and fixer, and could barely see any images.

In case anyone wanted to know how this whole wild endeavor turned out. I need to thank my local camera store for telling me that anyone who knows how to cook can do reversal processing as it’s all about mixing correctly and temperature.

I'd be more concerned about technique of diluting the sulphuric acid. If you add the acid too quickly to the water, you can cause it to spit back or even to boil. OK so hopefully you're wearing eye protection but still conc. sulphuric is nasty stuff if you spill it. Your container can also heat up ...

Yes indeed if its 48 or whatever percent just use twice as much. If it were 20% use 5 times as much. Battery acid is usually about this strength. You are quite correct.
Of course instead of sulphuric acid you can use 65 grams per ltre of sodium bisulphate. This is available from swimming pool soda ...

Would I have to slow down the audio? And if so how much would I have to slow it down so that the actors can sync their mouths while I record them at 12fps?

I want to project this while I sync the sound using a laptop...

I just took my bolex for its first test yesterday and noticed every other few seconds I’d hear a subtle squeaky noise. I’m pretty sure it needs lubrication,

but how long does the camera have? And how will the test footage look?

And also does anyone in the Los Angeles county lube up bolexes?
