Information overload - the good kind! Thanks everyone. Did I make a newby mistake? I thought "dual" meant Super 8 and Regular 8 - is that right?

Thanks to both of you. Oh, I should have added all my films are silent. Any brands I should avoid at all costs?[/i]

Dual 8 Projector recommendations please

Hello All,

I was wondering if someone could help in recommending a projector. I have about 150 family films that I recently transferred (MovieStuff DV8 Sniper), but I would like to have a projector to watch these films once in a while. There are so many on eBay, I have no idea which I should even ...

Sorry for jumping on this old thread, but this post is highly relevant.

anyway, i'm glad ...

Thanks Dave!

I am experimenting with this frame blending option in FCP. To me it is amazing the computer can do all these calculations so fast. I almost feel guilty making it work so hard to render these files, but hey, in computer terms the thing is basically loafing around all day, so why not put ...

Hey Dave - we actually talked on the Canopus forum and you gave me all kinds of advice on cleaning film and Canopus! What a small web! :D I ended up getting the ADVC-300 despite some of its features being overkill for the film transfer, but I also have some video to transfer and, well, I never saw a ...

Hello - I thought I would wake up this old thread vs. starting a new one. I recently purchased a Workprinter then upgraded it to a DV Sniper (single CCD). I am not a pro and am doing all this to manage nearly 200 reg and super 8 family movies. Roger is a great guy and I feel like I have pestered him ...
