Re: opening single-8 cart

Don't use a blade. Just bend the cardrige in every direction and you hear the glue break. Did this many times and it works very good.
Will try to upload a video of this and also about my reloading machine, based on an old arri magazin. To reload a single8 cardrige is really so easy.

Hi,
The original batterie did`nt have 3,9 Volt.
As I wrote before, the original batterie for the Elmo 8tl was nothing else than 3 wired PX 625. I have one used here, it says: 4,05 Volt. One PX 625 has 1,35. 3x 1,35 = 4,05 Volts.

Use it, everything works perfect.

Hi,
I use three PX625 (PX13) batteries, fixed together with some tape + a 1cent coin on the top. Works fantastic. The old batterie wasn`t anything else, open it and you will find 3 PX 625 wired together.

Hi,

you got a very fine camera! I use the Quarz DS8 and Quarz 5 , too.
Also you should know, that processing in Prague is very cheap, just bring the exposed film back to the foma shop. Processing for a 10m roll R100 only costs around 6,00 Euro there.

Some infos about the camera:
