Roger,

Wow! I would be thrilled to do that nicely with my camera. There is absolutely no chance I could ever accomplish that by painting. You can be VERY proud of your accomplishments.

When I first wanted to get into transferring my old home movies to digital, I bought one of these off of Ebay. It was CHEAP and for good reason. It was CRAP. I tried to play with it for a while and finally gave up and did what I should have done in the first place - I bought a Workprinter from Roger ...

Super8Kid - I just got back from visiting Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and UC Santa Barbara with my duaghter. While in San Luis Obispo they mentioned that they still had an operating drive-in theater in town and there are several bed-and-breakfast establishments in cool looking old houses. This might be ...

I have gotten these from "EBay" and from "PayPal" and they look very real. However, in both case I sent the info to Spoof@Ebay.com or the equivalent for Paypal. I always recevied a very prompt response from the real comapny (even on a Saturday) that this was in fact a false email and that everything ...

It's funny how the EBay mind thinks though. I have seen things with a "high" starting price go with no bids and then when relisted with a $1 start they end up going for way over the original amount. I think there are a lot of folks who just cant bid $1300 for a first bid but would easily fall into ...

Yes I am using Cinecap for the capture and it works great. I don't remember which Codec I used for these captures (I will have to double-check my notes). The strange thing is if I simply play the avi file that Cinecap outputs, everything looks fine. Its only when I import into Vegas Movie Maker that ...

Where did my frames go?

I am using Movie Studio to edit avi files of old 8mm home movies and then burn DVDs with DVD Architect 2. The problem I am having is that when I import the avi file from my WorkPrinter capture into Movie Studio I end up with missing frames that show up as black areas in the movie.

If I play the ...

I love how they imply that everything from eBay is total crap but does anyone want to make a wager as to where they get 100% of their inventory?

My DVD player is less than 1 year old. I thought I had solved the problem when I burned another one and it worked beautifully on my DVD drive of my work computer. Tried it on my home DVD player and it froze again. My original plan was to give these DVDs (old family movies) to my siblings for ...

Super8Man - I agree about Sonic but it is what I currently have available. Hopefully, DVD Architect is sitting under my Christmas tree even as we speak. I think (hope) that I have finally gotten it to work.
Just to clarify something, I WAS able to get the file to burn onto both brands of DVDs and ...

Problems with my DVD

I transferred about 1.5 hours of old 8mm home movies (boy I love Roger's stuff), did the editing I wanted, added music, and burned them onto a DVD. So why is my DVD being difficult? I burned the DVD (Imation DVD +R) using Sonic MyDVD and everything works fine on the computer. I have tried it on two ...
