Re: Pharmacy Telecine Services

Are you sure they do the transfer there, and don't source it out? A lot of places use www.yesvideo.com.

Thanks, Roger. Given their deal with all of these national chains and such, they seem have the most exposure to Joe Sixpack. Just wondering kind of transfers were being so well publicized.

YesVideo Transfer Equipment?

Does anyone know what type of film transfer equipment YesVideo (http://www.YesVideo.com) uses? Between browsing their website and a call to customer service, I know nothing more than I did before.

Yes. ESB and RotJ are out there. RotJ is pretty rare. One went for $80+ a few weeks back.

Pretty attractive low end editing package. iMovie and iDVD now support widescreen too, something you previously had to go to a pro package for. Had I not just gotten a Powermac a month ago, I'd be in for one

Konton, thanks for the descriptive post. I appreciate it tremendously. I have to say I'm really learning a lot these past couple of days as I visit this forum more for the telecine aspect than for the film shooting aspect. Who knows, maybe I'll become a convert :)

What about Macs?

Is anyone using a Powermac? I have a DP G5 with a single 250Gb SATA drive on the way. Am I going to have any problems? I haven't seen much info anywhere on Macs in the WorkPrinter world.

My PC's motherboard is fried after a recent storm. If worse comes to worse, I guess I could rebuild it for frame ...

Thanks, Konton, for starting this fantastic thread. I have a WorkPrinter XP on order and I've really been wondering how other WP users have things setup. I've been trying to figure how what kind of setup I'm going to configure and I think this thread will give me some great ideas and insight.

Panasonic PV-GS400 for WorkPrinter-XP?

Hi all. First post here.

I'm looking into getting a WorkPrinter-XP for a part-time telecine business and am considering the Panasonic PV-GS400 to mate it to. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike
