Hi everyone,

My footage just seems to be overly white and indistinct, which would suggest over exposure, but I deliberately under exposed by up to a stop most of the time, as I had heard it was better for this stock (being very outdated).

I'm just not sure its worth paying out to have it ...

So I just got back some Quarzchrome...

I bought four rolls of Quarzchrome from the Widescreen centre over a month ago and shot them on my 814xls.

Just got them back from processing today. Here are a few phrases that sum up my feelings:

1. What a dissapointment, 2. What a waste of time, 3. What a waste of money..... You get the picture ...

I have tried both links, but I too just get boxes with little crosses in. It would be cool to see shots of Tri-x with a red filter, as I have just bought four carts off ebay to shoot.

Damnit! I read this with such enthusiasm and ran to check if this worked with my 814xls. No such luck. Mine sticks on the underexposure red warning area past f45 when on auto. I can use it manually, but when I switch to auto, the F reading literally spins all the way round to past f45. Your ...

The auto B option is one of the most useful and unique features of any super 8 camera. It allows the camera to do an automated time-lapse.

Couple this with a fully open shutter and you can have an auto time-exposure, allowing for super low light filming. You can expose each frame for up to 1 minute ...

Well that was an interesting, if a bit bizarre film ;)

Can I ask how you lit the film? As you know K40 needs tons of light, and there wasn't much under exposure.

I guess the morale of the story is: do more washing up! lol

So will us Europeans be able to stockpile process paid K40, and still send it off free of charge after it has been discontinued?

Thanks everyone for your help!

I think I will try the Silicon lubricant if I can find some. By the way, the light metre seems to be fixed, I just rotated the dial rapidly a few times and it seems to work now.

Thanks again.

Nizo S800 trouble

Hi all,

I have recently bought a Nizo S800 on Ebay, and it has a couple of problems that I don't know how or if they can be easily fixed, and I could have just wasted my money on this otherwise great camera.

Firstly, the motor has a problem where it runs fine, but when you let go of the trigger ...

Hi, I absolutely did not delete that thread. I tried to re login in to that forum and it seemed I had never signed up and my post dissapeared. I would never do anything like delete my own thread when I needed help from others and they reply.

Now I have signed up to this forum, I hope to be able to ...
