Exposure settings help needed

This is embarrassing, since I learned on my father's knee about film speed, ASA of course, f/stops, and shutter speeds. About sixty years ago.

So now I'm wanting to dabble in 16mm, you've may well seen some of my recent posts. My antique store $20 camera is a B&H 200EE. I've not been able to find ...

Re: Kodak Super XX Film Info Needed

I bought a 1952 Kodak Movie Dataguide on eBay for $7, just got it. It rates Super XX as ASA 100.

No, I've not found anything helpful regardless of the format, 16mm or 35mm. I think I shot some of the 35mm XX WAY back, from Freestyle.

Re: Digital refuseniks

And somewhere, there are buggy whip manufacturers.

I grew up in photography, father and grandfather published, award winning professionals. My family photo website: www.vphotoestate.com . Sorry, no photos, but information about this tradition from Daguertypes and everything later.

I was an early ...

Kodak Super XX Film Info Needed

I've searched the intertubes high and low, and tried a lot of searches on this forum, but I've not found anything on shooting and processing that ancient, venerable Kodak Super-XX film. Quite a bit for 35mm, but not 16mm reversal. Kodak, in their save every penny bankruptcy mode, doesn't even have ...

Re: 16mm processing tank?

Thanks for all your thoughts, folks.

And yes, Andre, $200 may not be much to you, but it is 20% of my monthly retirement income. This quest is just a low budget hobby. If I can't do it, so be it.

Re: 16mm processing tank?

Just B&W reversal.

Since my post, I've become aware of the Morse G3 tank, there seems to be a small but steady supply of them going for widely varying prices: http://www.ebay.com/itm/201327991096?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I've had some other ideas, but I've got to ...

Re: 16mm film sources

Thanks all for your suggestions. Shooting something in 16mm isn't a priority, and due to my rather meager old age income, may never happen. I"m happy to have spent $20 for the camera just as a paperweight if need be.

Since posting, a hell of a lot more research shows that options are rather dismal ...

16mm processing tank?

In my explorations, I've found the wide, flat Lomo type for, ouch, almost $200. Also some homebrews that require incredible amounts of precision and patience using long PVC tubes as core and tank.

Any other options?

Thanks!

16mm film sources

Hi, new to this forum. Well, and 16mm generally. I've had 8 cans of 16mm family and military films going as far back as 1927! Heck, the format was only 4 years old then. It's a blessing to have a father and grandfather who were professional, published, award winning, and military photographers!

I ...
