right, but can you use b mount lenses with a standard mount? I can't seem to find any real technical data on it at all.

not totally interseted in super 16... but i like the compact "stubby" build of the camera. i also want reloadable mags, so it seems like a good buy to me. my main concern is reliabillity, and sturdiness. i run and gun, do alot of hand held stuff, and tend to be fairly rough on my cameras.

"Are these MOS only or are they fairly quiet?"

not sure at all. i was hoping someone here has used one. i am interested in how reliable they are as well. i hear the k3s are built like tanks, and i'm really interested in the kinor if it has a similar build.[/quote]

the way i see it... if someone really feel motivated (for some strange reason) to talk down to every other member of this board, let them. they just end up looking like more of an ass that way.

what are you connecting to? mini jack, headphones? the ground definately needs to be connected if your going to phones for you to get any signal. also, the internal switch must be depressed. not sure if both bottom pins need to be connected as i've not seen the schematics for the camera.

yup thats it... i was fortunate enough to have received my 4056 (my favorite of all my cameras btw) from a film professor here in chicago. he made the exact cable you are looking to build. it was quick work to figure out what the pins connected to with the trusty multi-meter...

gate polishing

i have read somewhere about people using a rock tumbler filled with grain (rice or wheat i think) to polish their gates after widening them. has anyone tried this who can provide some feedback?
