Well, tri-x needs less light than k40, so maybe that's why there's enough light for tri-x but not for k40 huh?

i don't think anybody has suggested it did either?!?

I kind of misread the thread. I'm just wondering why would anybody bring up flashing the film when soneone wants streaking. I see no sense in removing the shutter to "flash" the film.

I'd flash super8 in a camera where you can rewind the ...

Yes, this vertical streaking doesn't have anything to do with flashing film. It's a neat effect used on many films, for example in Saving Private Ryan. As far as I remember, they threw the shutter out of sync to create some random streaking.

It's simply because when you are shooting all the time, you have no time to write to different message boards 8)

I think I haven't even cleaned my home in about two weeks. I've shot about five films in a couple of months and gaffed some shots too. Also some odd jobs mainly in lighting departments ...

You need to use longer exposure times if you want those streaks. Some cameras have the time exposure -feature.

Pitirre, can you be more specific? I know it looks like a home movie in terms of look of K40 and non-existant lighting, but otherwise? I can't say I'm satisfied with it, but the look is quite close what I had in mind. "Dirty seventies", or something like that.

I don't think we are going to make a ...

Yes, kinos are flicker-free.

Don't even try to use magnetic ballasts with super8, cameras without crystal sync don't run steady / precisely enough, you will get horrible flicker.

But the most important thing is, what do you want your music video to look like? What's the story, theme, etc? Who ...

I swear not to spend any money on equipment, or anything. I'll just shoot and others will pay ;)

Also, I'll try to get paid jobs.

Will sell everything I don't need.

Re: Remarkable HQ Full Size DV Clip Posted - AWAND/BOSCH

The K40 was sharp, but grainy compared to 16mm, of course ;)

Picture was good, although the lighting was too flat for my tastes. The first CU of the girl looked really scandinavian, you know dull and without too much life  I think that's a good thing in this clip.

I didn't color correct too much, the "dull and almost colorless" look was mainly because of constant overcast weather, and even sometimes it rained.

The dolly shot on the beach was achieved...well, with a dolly ;)

It's really painful to watch years old work, you know when you are constantly ...
