I recently picked up a Sverdlovsk-4 lightmeter off of ebay. I'm trying to work it right but I am having trouble. The meter indicates a correct setting of the dials by turning the led on. THe only problem is that, when the metering button is held, the led never goes off. If anyone has experience with ...

Bulk-Store Processing
I've been looking through some of the archives concerning sending super-8 through Wal-Mart and Target. I've sent a few rolls of K40 to Dwayne's through Wal-Mart and I was pleased with the results. I read a few references to getting films processed by Rocky Mountain Films by sending through Target ...

cheap telecine
I've seen them going on ebay for $50-$100. The reason this machine intrigues me is because of the negative switcher and manual color correction. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm enough of a tech hound to swap out the camera.

Most folk recommend the Sekonic L-398. You can find them on ebay fairly regularly, and sometimes in your price range.

Idea for Homemade Telecine
Hello everyone, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. I've been looking at maybe aquiring a Tamron Fotovix and engineering a film transport system. What I've read states that that the Fotovix has a resolution of about 400,000 pixels. Is this enough for standard def? I figure it's more than ...

Forgive the questions of this novice, but what is the shipping cost when using the mailers? Or is this pre-paid as well as the processing?
