You can buy 3200K or 5600K white LED lightbulbs that operate at
110 volts for around $30 from here.

These lightbulbs use the Luxeon white LEDs. I don't believe that these
inexpensive products have been available for very long ...

Red Cross might have issues,
I feel much guilt when I see how much people are struggling in Indonesia,
India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and other places. I also know that I am not

DVCAM, fcp quicktime, DVD
Mattias,
I can take a fcp quicktime, DVCAM, DVD preferably in NTSC,
but I can convert it to NTSC from PAL if it is a quicktime or a
DVD. I don't think that I can capture a DVCAM PAL.
I end up submitting it on a D9, so the fcp quicktime would be
the best since it doesn't involve snailmail.

Would you be able to provide releases?
Mattias,
Would you be able to provide a copy of the
sync license, master recording license, and
talent releases. I would probably be able to
get it played three times on different cable
access channels in Portland. If you want I
can submit it to other additional channels
where I have connections ...

urbanski film
There are other places to buy supplies. This is one of them.
I bought 8mm, super 8, and 16mm white leader from Urbanski film.
You may also buy press tape or cement splicing materials there.

Hardest part is feedback from motor
Mattias,
You are correct. Every camera is built differently. How do you get
feedback on how fast the motor is actually rotating?
I was going to design a reference signal using a crystal oscillator
and then divide that down using a counter with a fps input. I was

I was thinking of something simpler, but
I was thinking of building a simple circuit with a list
of materials that people could easily obtain and build.
These solutions are more complicated. The first link
has some very clear and good background material which
helps you understand what and how you would control the
speed of a DC motor ...
